I just wanted to inform everyone that Kyle Holladay has passed away. He will be greatly missed. He has given a tremendous amount of information to all of us and donated a lot of his time on this forum and the IP Office. All that is known is that he passed away in his sleep Monday night. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Star given.

Lets give the stars and make this TT legend MVP one last time.

Yes, Kyle was from the Denver area.
He was young, but he did pass in his sleep, so at least there was no suffering.

I looked for info in the papers but found none. Passed in his sleep. Wow.

I talked to Kyle a few times. Great guy. He will be missed.

So you can put a face to his name, and raise a weekend drink/toast to him [cheers]

So. We need someone to adopt his site to keep it functional and available?
How would that work. I suppose we would need permission from his next of kin.
Perhaps permission then inclusion of his work into an existing site for IPO.
I wonder if D.M. could accommodate some space.
An interesting idea.

I am happy to provide web site / donate bandwidth space for anything needed. I have plenty of space at siteground.com where my sites are hosted

I have space and bandwidth on my hosting as well. I have already mirrored the website, but I think it's best if we get some permission first.

guys, it is great to hear that we come together as a TT community like that.
I found out that a friend of Kyle has taken on the role of keeping the website alive and will keep it as a tribute to Kyle's memory alive. I have offered our combined help and should I hear anything more back then I will post.

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

That is really sad RIP. Your webite has been a great when I have really needed some help.

Yes we have VoIP in Cape Town

Ive been of here for a while but star added to the link , many people have said kind comments and remarks about Kyle a really nice thing to see when a community rallies together in the face of diversity , everyone should be proud.

Live life!
My condolences to your friends and family Kyle.

It's only dialtone!!!

This is really sad. It make you think how short life really can be. I'm new to tek-tips so didn't get to interact with Kyle and have not had a chance to look at his site but it's always a sad thing when someone dies at a young age. Hopefully something positive will result from his passing such as the family coming closer together or others who knew him truely valuing the time they have here on Earth.

Personal Belief Disclaimer:
For those who believe in God we pray that He would comfort the family in a time of greif and morning and they can take joy in his passing if Kyle and his family share simlar beliefs.

I think I will bump this up to stay on page 1 because we want Kyle to become monthly MVP as well.
I gave about 10-15 stars all over the threads I found of Kyle and want this to continue until we have managed our goal and gave Kyle the honour he deserves as MVP.

Cheers guys and gals

+1 on all the kind comments; never met Kyle personally but he helped me with a system once and it was great. Diana

Please pass on my condolences to any family you have contact with

I never met him personally but built a great deal of respect for him from his knowledge here

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

This is brilliant.

I don't think I've ever seen this reaction to a person the majority have ever met.

We should ALL be very proud.

I've never met Kyle or even been in contact with him, but I sure do appreciate him and his advice. Lets keep this post on frontpage to let more people be aware and allow them to write their condolances and appreciative words. And keep giving stars to show friends and family how appreciated he really was.
