Does anyone have some actual working Gmail setup instructions for IPO 9.0 using Embedded Voice Mail. I have searched and there are several posts but the instructions are not working.

Thank you!

I do it the same way and it works just fine, I guess you have something else wrong/effecting it :)

Oh well good for you I am glad to hear that your not having any trouble.

But those are the correct instructions, what else do you expect us to say? I was making the point that it's not this part that is wrong so you need to look elsewhere for an issue....:)

Have you upgraded to the latest 9.0.5 version? If not, I would give that a try.

Dan

I blame Avaya.

* for Dan as the release notes for 9.0.5 say it is a fixed issue.

I have it working just peachy on 9.0.4 with embedded.
SMTP.gmail.com
Port 587, STARTTLS enabled, then of course email address and password.
No issues here.

Works great on a 9.0.3 system for me.....
Peaches excluded... :)

Check your security settings..http change to unsecured

The new security default setting by avaya have set this to secure high.
You may have to lower it to allow the email out.

I have 9.0.3. I will check the security settings.

Do I have to pay for an additional license to go from 9.0.3 to 9.0.5?

Nope, just download and fire away [smile]

Kind regards

Gunnar

I am not sure how to change my HTTP setting I could not find this in Manager. Could you tell me where to look.

File> Advanced> Security settings...

Login with Username: security
Pwd: securitypwd (or whatever you changed it to in the past.)

Kind regards

Gunnar

I found 2 of then under SERVICES READ and WRITE

Thank you, as soon as I turned off the HTTP it started working. Perhaps the FAQ could be updated since this step was left out.

Thank you
