The 4.1 delta assessment is impossible!
I failed it twice - the second time I counted the wrong answers - 2!!!!

So i wasn't me who have failed the deltacourse alone.
I had only two errors and failed, twice like you!
I am sure the answers i gave are the only right ones.
4.1 will be released on time and will have all the fixes that are in 4.0.12 which is comming at the same time.

So from the Assesment questions they are going to release a Dual IP500 PRI which you can have 4 of (240 trunks). The rumours are true, for a change.
Why would you have 240 trunks and 272 extns??? doesn't make sense. Bigger 500 coming in 4.2?????
Can't make it bigger with IP phones as 240 trunks means no VCM's.

Apparently there is a bug in the exam....
It has been escalatedto Tier IV who are unable to reproduce the problem an will be resolved soon.
I have been told that I did actually pass!
but it doesn't bode well for the release if the exam is buggy!

Clarification on the rumour I heard, apparently Avaya is releasing it as discussed at the end of November, but our distributor is not supporting it.

From what I've seen in the 4.1 powerpoint, there isn't anything to get excited about. The 2 big things for me are the ability to have continuous ringing on a second call and FIFO/LIFO on playback of messages. The new ICR stuff is nice and I like the calendar in Time profiles. I must be missing something, I don't get all the security stuff. Is all that really needed?
I also don't get the SES trunks and the purpose, but that could be because no one has really explained it to me. On balance, I think 4.1 is nothing to write home about. I will reserve final judgenment untill I test it and Do my first upgrade.

Interesting - the biggest features for me are the date /time features of time profiles. Also telecommuter mode of phone manager.
The security stuff in manager all looks to be aimed the US Financial market (encryption, TLS etc) I may be wrong though...
SES - I can't see how us IP office houses implement that as it needs a S8000 core etc (we are a SMBS and don't have PA for ACM, S8000 etc)

I didn't do the course just tried the Assesment!!! I am looking at it now.
Correct me if I am wrong but we can only have 128 VCM's in an IP500 though!!
