Forwarding Voicemails to Emails

Hey,

I'm trying to forward voicemail to forward to emails to their respective departments. I have 8 UM already loaded in the system, I just don't know how to go about it.

Are you trying to setup Unified Messaging or Message Forwarding?

Unified Messaging - integrates with Outlook etc where you have an inbox for vmail.

Message Forwarding - sends a wav file (the message) to an email address
This does not integrate with Outlook etc.

You can refer to these 2 guides that are on any BCM:

Thank you for the info, But I believe my boss want Unified Messagin. but if you can tell how message forwarding works that will be great
 


Is there anyway to access Call Pilot Desktop through web browser ?
 
On my system, I use the link of to access my Call Pilot system.

I've also attached my BCM emailing and call recording guide that you might find useful.

Thank you So much, but it seems like Call Pilot manager is different then Call pilot desktop. Please correct me if i'm wrong because I don't see anywhere in call pilot where I can forward the voicemail to a specific email
 
They are different, hence why they have different names.

Did you download the above guides that I mentioned from your BCM, give them a good read.
There is about 100 guides on your BCM.

Callpilot Setup and Operation Guide is the admin guide

I tried what you said, but that's where I get stuck. In system configuration it doesn't give me place to insert any email info/

and this doesn't work either

this is what it says after I log in with my BCM email and password

Have you entered in the mailbox ID when using the mailbox Manager?. You don't use the system login and password!

I've used
and I get a screen where I enter in the mailbox ID and passcode.

I've seen the screen shots. What version is your BCM 50 / 450 phone system?.
Mine is at release 6.0. In Element Manager I also have this section.

I think that the email alarm notification was only available from release 5.0 to 6.0.

Is there anyway to update it 5.0 from 4 ? and I see you mentioned 50/450 but I have 400 does that matter? we have a 50 in branch office but I haven't gotten to that yet
 
I don't recall the BCM 400 ever having the email feature at release 4.0.
There was no newer release other that upgrading to a BCM 450.

This would explain why you can't get the email forwarding to work.
