Oh well.

1. Star trek Voyager
2. Stargate SG1
3. Andromeda
4. The 4400
5. Star-Wars (six films counts as a series)

...but no show is better for Time Travel (since it instantly takes me back 50 years) than "Buck Rogers".

X-Files....

It's a magical time of year in Philadelphia. Eagles training camp marks the end of another brutal season of complaining about the Phillies.

Lost In Space - cheesy, but a load of fun

I used to rock and roll every night and party every day. Then it was every other day. Now I'm lucky if I can find 30 minutes a week in which to get funky. - Homer Simpson

Dr. Who (particularly the Tom Baker episodes). The new Dr. Who on the SciFi channel is very good too.

The Twilight Zone (a classic in the genre).

The Outer Limits (another classic - the newer one wasn't nearly as good).

Andromeda - I really liked it, but then, I'm a fan of Kevin Sorbo. Speaking of which:

Hercules, The Legendary Journeys (great effects, good drama, good comedy). I particularly like some of the tongue in cheek references like the fast-food entrepreneur Salmoneus who invents Tacos and other fast food, and the interesting conversation Hercules has with him about coffee.

Xena, Warrior Princess (see above).

Farscape - a little odd, but entertaining.

BBC Version of Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Star Trek:Next Generation
The 4400 - so far, but recently I'm getting a little bored with it...

The 4400? I have not heard of it. What's it about?

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

Is that the series about people who get abducted by aliens and then suddenly reappear ?

Best:
Babylon 5 - best ever
Stargate SG 1
Stargate Atlantis
The middle years of Star Trek TNG
The 1st season of Star Trek Enterprise
The Origional Battle Star Galactica
The middle seasons of Andromeda

Worst:
Firefly (I don't understand the cult following of this one)
Farscape (same)
Lexx
Battlestar Galactica Days of our Universe (crappy remake)
Deep Space 90210 (credit for that goes to Mad Magazine)
The last season or so of Andromeda

The Hideous but I enjoy:
1960's version of Lost in Space

On the subject of best in science fiction and the show "Stargate SG-1"...

It looks as though the Sci Fi Channel has cancelled "Stargate SG-1". If this is true, I hope MGM can find another home for the series.

Where did you hear that SG1 was cancelled? I wouldn't be totaly surprised, I haven't enjoyed it as much since the Ori were added. The plots have become almost too fantastic to be even remotely believed. Instead of telling a story they seem to be trying to out-do each previous episode (the cause of ER's demise in quality in my opinion).
