I think it is a very complicated, so far at work no one was able to answer it. Best so far was 'quench thirst' - not even funny.
So:
When you have food you can feed someone.
When you have water you can ... someone.

What is the word for food-feeding, water-...?

Thanks,
I need to educate my co-workers and I will mention source.
Promice.

How about...

Let's feed this mob and liquid refresh the bunch.

Hydrate infers water. Could be some OTHER liquid.

I want to know if cat was given some water after he ate. So dd says 'I fed him' and I say 'Did you XXX him as well'?

Well Gee Thanks Ladyazh! Now my workplace firewall has blocked this thread as well! [censored]

Accordiing to the IT Police it's caused by the three 'eckses' in the question at the end of your 13:14 post.

Plus, I got a *ollocking for reading Tek-Tips at work!! [blush]

Cheese! That firewall is SENSITIVE!

I think the 'watering'/'thirst sating||slaking' is implied when feeding someone.

When cattle are watered it's not a times a day thing, like feed, they have access to troughs all day, though the same could be said of grass, but in a feedlot environment they'd be fed two/three times daily, but water would be avilable always.

I think cat will be gone by the time I came home.
-What? You said 'Liquidate' children will happily exclame!
I am glad I have a dog.

Is XXX standing in for stumping, or did I just spend too many years in Mississippi?

Not to be picky (well yes actually I am)

But "Man" wasn't around at the same time as the dinosaurs, much less had the abilty to speak English.

Stu..

Stu.. 2004

Sorry - had to do it. [wink] Just now read{pronounced 'red'} this thread...

And no, I didn't really just have to do it, but you get the idea.

Stu, you said man wasn't around at the same time as the dinossaurs. How do you know? Were you there?

Remember: "Only the truly stupid believe they know everything." [wink]

For the main topic, I've got the perfect exact quote, which in such a lengthy thread, it is highly probable that someone else already mentioned it, but hopefully not. I know that some were really close, but this one actually sorta rhymes!

Ok, enough wait?

Enough tension?

Are you biting your nails, waiting for the extremely magnificent answer to end all answers?

The punch line to end punch lines (well, not really a punch line, but you get the point)?

Here it is:

[blue][highlight]I've fed and wet you now, for many years![/highlight][/blue]

TADA! There ye have it, folks!

Now, I just have to solve world hunger, world peace, and make politicians tell the truth!

So no one will actually come out and say it 'There is NO such a word!!!' anyone?

So no one will actually come out and say it 'There is NO such a word!!!' anyone?

Why? It seems that everyone already knows that, but people have fun making it up and joking about it.

Besides, such words DO exist. Just not in English. :-D

I was joking too, Stella.
I don't think non English words can be used in this forum unless it is Spanish:)

There is no such word in german too. I'd adopt such a word from any language, not only spanish.

Bye, Olaf.

Olaf,
There is no such word in german too. I'd adopt such a word from any language, not only spanish.

Really?
There is one in Russian. ;-)

And Ukrainian has it too (and, I believe, so do several other Slavic languages). I don't think it would fit a structure of an English or German sentence, though. (On the other hand, Russian did adopt words from German, English, French, and many other languages of different groups.)

teehee.

Ok, I must be totally missing something. What word? Tada?

Someone please enlighten me on this.

What was the word being referred to as not being a real word.

It's Friday, folks! Be happy! [surprise]

Well, not sure where else to put this, or where to email.

CC, would it be possible for you to email the previous contents of the posts which you removed from this thread that were not related, but would be related to the new thread being started? I'd greatly appreciate it if at all possible. That's assuming you can see my email address or can email from an admin interface or something.

Thanks!

Those posts requested would be from "both sides" of the other issue brought up.. And then you can maybe delete these posts that I just added. Sorry for the headache.

No, I'm sorry. I waited until you started the thread in STC to remove the off-topic posts and I have no way to get them back. Further, I do not have access to your e-mail address.
