feature button disable 1

can anyone tell me if we can disable or make the feature button disappear from the phone, 96xx series.

from ipo server edition release 8.1.97

i have tried to see settings in 46xxsettings file but couldnt find one,

the main purpose is to disable the users from playing in options and disable the call forward options on the phone.
Option Access settings do not have any effect on the 9650, 9611 and 9641g phones.

Display settings also donot have any impact on disabling the options and forwarding options.

any tips would be helpful

You can turn the Feature menu Off or change what's available in R9, but not 8.1 I guess

Another one wanting to block system features on a phone....

No you cannot and it will never be possible.
Instruct people how to use the system/phone and tell them to act as adults.

really do we have this available in release 9?

if so.. let me get an upgrade for the client and see to it!
appart from that,, any other ways around to it using 46xxsettings file?

yeah.. i just saw these options on one of our office systems..which is on release 9 which i never noticed....
this is really good..

why cant we have this feature in release 8.1

IMO the best way to stop users from changing forward/dnd settings is to use user rights to lock them down.
otherwise you have to start disabling standard system short codes & ensure they do not have access through phone manage/One-x

thee are very few features that cannot be locked down in this way.


A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
