Does everyone else have issues downloading software from avaya since the site change?

If I see another Error 500 this laptop is going out the window.

Anyone have a solution?

You are welcome.

The trial downloads are bad from the ftp, I wish they would put them on PLDS too. Took 3 attempts to get the latest trial stuff.

I opened a ticket Jamie and they are going take this in considering for the next trials.
Brad had two different links and both had different outcome.

its not so much the speed, but it just stops downloading halfway through a file and thinks it's done!! It's always been the same since they launched the new support site.

The FTP is garbage, times out, etc. Often I have to work on older pc's, but their browsers don't play well with plds. If I don't already have the software, I have to download via plds on *my machine*, and host an ftp, and then download to the customer's pc. It's awesome. yay bandwidth...

Indeed those stupid timeouts are annoying.
I have finally all the software I need after 10 attempts.
Jamie, can you add your comments on my ticked on the trial site.

No problem Peter. I've told them before. I've had dialog with Andy Nash over these issues before, but at that point they were moving over to PLDS so nothing was going to get done. I hope trials can be done on this or similar in future.

Chaps,

Evening all.

Is there anywhere where IP Office Admin v9.0 can be downloaded from? FTP site etc?

I lost connectivity to the PC that has the v9.0 software installed, and the Avaya support website just goes blank after I accept the EULA, for some reason...

Need to adjust the clock before users come in tomorrow.

Thanks!

You have PLDS credential?
You can't download 9.0 from the support site directly, only from PLDS site.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Thanks Gunar.

Yes, I can log in, but the screen just goes blank after accepting the EULA.... no error message. Tried IE, FireFox, and Chrome, all with the same result.

Possibly a temporary glitch on the Avaya website?

Either way I am trying to find the software to adjust the clock... the IP Office has been recently upgraded to v9.0, so I can no longer connect to it from v8.1, and I can't connect to the only PC we have with v9.0 installed on it.

Are you sure you plds access? You shouldn't be getting the EULA message. Once you log-in and click on what you want to download it will automatically redirect you to the plds site where you can download the software.

try a different browser than IE, there are so many security settings that it is not fun working with it any more.

I usually have to change the browser for downloads

OK, if your sure you have PLDS, try this then:

- Close all your browsers an go to support.avaya.com.
- Log in first before you do anything else.
- Then move forward to the download area and pick you file.

I also see the EULA some times, when I'm on a older computer.
Helps to tick the compatible icon at the end of the URL.

Kind regards

Thanks Gunar and Joe.

What happens is this:

I log in, and search for my download.

I then get to this screen:

Then click on the download, and get this:

Clicking 'Accept' simply brings up a blank page... strange. I would have thought that if there were any permissions issue etc some sort of message to that effect would come up?

Tried it with 3 browsers on two PCs....

OK, try going directly to PLDS

Hover on [ASSETS] to get the drop down menu, choose [VIEW DOWNLOADS].

Click on SEARCH BY DOWNLOAD

Enter IPO00000091 in the [Download ID] and click [SEARCH].

You should now se only one download in the field below, (I put in the ID for Lite vesion, only 128 MB)

Kind regards

Done that... same thing... I get the EULA as per my previous post above then nothing...

Gunnar, many thanks for trying.

I bet a $1 you haven't done the PLDS registration properly.

(not sure if this is a valid tip or not, but have you scrolled down to the bottom of the EULA before you accepted?
Can't remember if that was mandatory for going to the next step)

Kind regards

Gunnar

Yeah I use that same one HSM. Not sure Avaya likes people hosting those files though...
