Does everyone else have issues downloading software from avaya since the site change?

If I see another Error 500 this laptop is going out the window.

Anyone have a solution?

Not recently, what are you trying to download?

Tom, the trials have release a new beta version and it uses the same server as the support site server.
I am having the same issues but then for the trials.
Use the PLDS downloads if you need anything.
This works much better.

Everything from Aug 30th.

I've got 2 machines on 2 different networks and in an hour and 20 minutes i've managed to get the admin download started and that's it.

Tom, do you use PLDS?

Downloading Admin 9.0.825 now, it's slow and the rate is dropping here and there...but working :)

No I don't tlpeter, I've requested it, but when i use the PLDS links it tells me i don't have it enabled, which means i have to call the helpdesk, which I honestly just can't face.

Tom, go to those settings again and see if it is turned on.
When it is then turn it of, save and turn it on again.
This worked for me.
Although it can take some time ofcourse before it is working.

But you should really spend some time on it as it will disappear behind PLDS completely soon.

Yeah I've just toggled it on and off so i'll see if it works later.

Called the helpdesk, sounded like the guy that answered was using a softphone from the bath. Needless to say the issue wasn't resolved and he was unable to transfer me back into the support queue so i just put the phone down and put my head on my desk for a little while. Between that and the chat I had regarding the download issue I'm ready to move to Cisco completely.

Tom, are you serious :)
Because of a download issue that is not there (if you use PLDS) moving on to even a more stubborn brand :)

Get some rest and relax.

Try the PLDS in a couple of hours and drink a nice cold beer on the end of the day.

You will hang yourself if you try and move to Cisco PABX products, and if you don't your customers will certainly want to :)

I've installed a few UC560s, quite like them, no where near as user friendly, but they work well. And their website works.

I've achieved nothing this morning apart from getting wound up by Avaya in one way or another.

What do you need?

This would have even better posted in the other place, you may incur the wrath of Avaya posting here :)

Andy, this will disappear when Tom is done :)
Our FTP was accessible for a couple of year and the only time i had a problem with Avaya was when i had put trials software on the public side instead of the private side.
But indeed they check it once in a while and i think this is done automatically as i saw the check but no downloads form them.
They probably think i am daft and that i do not understand what is checking our FTP server :)
