So I unknowingly upgraded a system with a legacy PRI card. Ive tried to downgrade back to 9.0 with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. It it a V2 originally at 8.0.56 I took it to 9.0 then 9.1.

Thanks

Hi Bradley,

At what point is the downgrade failing? Are you using v9.0 manager or v9.1 with v9.0 bin files?

Out of curiosity, you can't upgrade a v2 to 9.1 if it has an older PRI card in it?

Correct. Below is from the 9.1 docs:

Discontinued platform and application support

This release is supported on the IP500 V2 and the IP Office Server Edition only.
The following items are longer supported:

IP500 control unit

IP400 control units including expansion modules and plug-in modules on the Legacy Carrier Cards.

IP400 DS16 and 30 expansion modules

Analog Trunk 16 expansion module

Customer Call Reporter (CCR)

Advanced Edition

IP Office Video Softphone on Windows for new installations (Avaya recommends using Avaya Communicator). Older versions of the Mac Softphone and Windows softphone will not be distributed by Avaya, however customers can still use them after upgrading.

Thanks everyone for the response. I was able to reformat the sd card in 9.0 then upload the saved config. This was the first time I have run into one of these older PRI cards...I know now for next time!

I noticed this the other day. Long story short, the box came on 9.1 and I wanted to downgrade it to 8.1 and I couldn't. Upgrade wizard would show the correct version and available version and would go through the whole upgrade process normal, but after it says the unit has been successfully upgraded, it still showed 9.1. Reformatting was a good idea.

So as long as the system does not have a IPO 400 PRI card we should be ok to upgrade to Ver 9.1? All IPO 500 PRI cards will work with Ver 9.1? I didn't see them mentioned in the list of unsupported hardware in Phone9uy's list.

No IP400 PRI card or legacy card carrier. No V1 IP400 Expansions. No CCR. then you are good to go.
