I have read that an 9608 to 9608 call will use one vcm to setup the call then drop it. But if that's the case how does a virtual IP Office make calls with out any vcm hardware? I could swear i read somewhere that there were 2 vcm built into the 500 v2. I have a small 500v2 with a combo card (10 vmc) Is there anyway to check how may vcm i have? Or is it just the 10 because of the card and you have to know that?

You need to understand the difference between a virtual SE and a IP500v2, and yes your combo card has 10 VCM's with it and yes, you just have to know that...

SE does it all in software but that's part of why SE runs on a much more powerful (and expensive) box than an IP500 V2.

For the IP500 V2 the number of VCM channels in the system are shown in System Monitor and in System Status.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
