Mike and I are concerned that Olaf has stopped logging in to T-T and his web site is not quite right and he's not answering his mobile.

Does anyone have a means of contacting him? If so please do so...

Stay Safe

Regards

Griff

Hello Griff,

I was also wondering if Olaf was ok. I note that he last logged on here on the 18th Oct, the same as his Twitter Account. As you say, his Website is also showing blank pages.

Hello Griff, Mike
and all others here,

Yes, I also was wondering when a few days back someone (I am not remembering who) was jokingly asking where is Olaf in one of his replies to a post. Now, its been some time and becoming a real worry.

Olaf indeed deserves this forum's care, concern, help or whatever if he is in need of something.

There must be someone here in this forum itself who is close to him, isn't it?
Please do check.

Rajesh

Hi

We're at a point you just don't want to cooperate anymore, then I'll stop here. I'll likely now stop posting anything in any forum anymore. It's just so frustrating and times are frustrating enough.

Bye, Olaf.

I did see that, and the timelines do match, but I'm hoping that is just a bit of petulance not the end of the story.

I've tried phone a few times, and emailing and checked his web site - all to no avail.

I would normally assume that he was simply taking a holiday or was swamped with work, but given the times that we are living in, it seems natural to be concerned, especially as he is not answering emails or phone calls.

I'll ask around among the regulars of other forums to see if anyone has any word.

Mike

For the little experience and amount of time I have spent on this forum, the answers, suggestions etc from Olaf and others have been most advantageous. I like others, hope that Olaf is ok as we are in troubled times and his contributions to this forum are very valued. Above all, his personal welfare is paramount.

Thank you

I hope he's ok, He is one of the persons who helped me always with my VFP project.

I've got an update for you.

I was in touch with Olaf over the weekend. He is quite safe and well. But he is very busy with work at the moment, and feels that he has to focus on areas other than VFP for now. He said he is grateful for our concern.

Let's hope he can eventually find his way back here. His expertise is badly missed.

Mike

Ich bin sehr beruhigt, dass wir keine besorgniserregenden Nachrichten über Olaf lesen.
Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn er hier wieder an Bord ist.
Er hat mir auch immer sehr geholfen.
Komm wieder Olaf!

I am very reassured that we are not reading any worrying news about Olaf.
I would be very happy if he is here again on board.
He always helped me a lot.
Come back Olaf!

Klaus

Thank you Mike for the good news,
Olaf, we miss you.
god bless you all.
god luck everyone.

Hi,
It is correct I had a discussion with Olaf, a technical discussion and by no means a discussion relating to any personal opinions. Still it seems that Olaf decided, after this discussion, to play low profile in this forum. I do want to express once more I have always read and discussed with Olaf, he has learned me a lot in VFP9, for which I am still very grateful.
Olaf, wishing, you the best and looking forward to the next moment I can learn something from you.
Stay healthy,
Koen

Having participated in forums going all the way back to the UT (Universal Thread) and Compuserve (pre-Internet), I have never seen such an outpour of emotions over someone leaving - it's almost too much for me to bear...
