CSV User File Imports 9.1

Helo, I have an IP Office 9.1 and we need to import about 300 users. We have the complete excel and also CSV files of their extesnion, last name, first name, email address and telephone number.

I have tried to use the IMPORT function but it will only import other IPO files. Does anyone have a step by step to do this. I am hoping not to have to copy and past all those records.

I have done this before but it has been years. The trick to it is to export at least one user so it can be properly formatted. Then it is a matter of editing in Excel, saving it as a csv and importing it.

my guess is that when you arent saving your excel doc properly.

you need to export your excel doc as CSV and save as file type comma delimited .csv

depending on the excel doc you are using, it should automatically save as user.csv if it doesnt, manager wont be able to see it as it is only looking for a user.csv file.

attach the excel you are trying to import, and the file you are converting from .xls to .csv here and we can take a look if you like. just remove the email addresses if there are any for privacy's sake

In Manager directory there is an Excel file called IP Office User import or similar.

Read the hints and add new lines and import your data there.
