Hi,

I'm looking for specifications on what character set / encodings that are used by the IPO depending on the set locale of the system.

We are currently using Swedish locale and get 0xD1 for a, small ring ('å') which is not according to any latin-N coding standard.

Greatful for any help!

If the system is set to Swedish locale you shouldn't have any problem with Swedish characters.

Earlier there was a problem that you couldn't use swedish characters on Buttons but that was back at 3.0 or 3.1.

There are some problem with the Swedish characters
What version are you on ?

Hi again,

Well here is some more info:

Its a IP500 running 4.1 (101108) software connected to IP-DECT (1.1.11).

The problem is that the display management in the DECT phone displays 'å' as 'Ñ' and 'ä' as 'ñ'.
Looking at the protocol I see that the IP Office/IP-DECT system sends 0xD1 for the 'å' which isn't according to any character coding standard I know of.

Got this:

well, testing this on 4.1 (12) I have no problem with the swedish characters on IP-DECT. Can't remember that I had it on 4.1 (9) so it could be your PB doing it.
