I am having trouble with my CCR and AA greetings. they seem to work fine however when a caller rings in they are answered by the AA. They hear the correct CCR tree. if they choose an option that gets them transfered to an internal extension the call will not go into the extensions voice mail after 4 rings. the call instead reverts back to CCR path 0 and starts from the begining. if you choose option 7 - then option 2 it should transfer to ext 224 and if the user at ext 224 does not answer i want it to go into the mbox for ext 224 not back to home menu.

Any help is appreciated
MICS 0x32 SP 30BHG02 NAT
VM: NAM
Sets: M7310

Thanks a bunch

you need to go into the phone system programming not voicemail. Look at capabilities of the extension and forward delay needs to be set to 4 rings and forward to needs to be the voicemail extension. To find voicemail extension dial feature 985.

Endlesswinter,
Thanks a bunch. Believe it or not i used to install these systems many moons ago. Back when the NAM was a hot new product!!. but for the life of me i can't figure this out.

Anyway Yes ALL sets are CFNA to DN 253. Calling internally works as expected. The issue is any external call that comes in through the AA/CCR when transferred internally will bounce back to path 0 menu instead of going into the exstensions mbox.

Further more we operate with a recptionist during business hours (when she decides to show up) if you call my business she will answer and transfer you to my extension. it will ring 4 times and then you get put back into Path 0 of the CCR tree.

so the problem is with External inbound calls only and it doesnt seem to matter if the AA/CCR picks up or the receptionist neither of them get into the extensions MB.

Thanks again for the help.
Mark

Did this work before? If not what rls NAM do you have?

I though it was but to be honest i couldn't say for sure. before this set-up it was a scarcely used option. it was recorded by me a while back. but we just had voice overs done and now are trying to focus on making it work. I'm guessing i wouldn't have left it not working for all these years (at least 3 years with my voice). If you told me i had to choose i would say it was working before i recorded this new CCR which by the way is Tree 2 Tree 1 still exists but is not selected in my Table 1. and switching back doesn't solve the problem.

NAM is 4.0.04C (easy with the moans and groans haha)

What happens if you turn the CCR off, does it go to the normal greeting after 4 rings?

What is the transferset to>

Look under system programing, then feature settings, then transfer call back time.

Also check Delayed ring transfer setting.

Check the Transfer Callback timeout. If it is set to less than the amount of CFNA it will return back to where it came from

You guys and gals are the best thanks for jumping on this one.

Sad to say My transfer call back is already set to 12 my DRT is set to N. i found that in other posts and tried that one already.

Hawks, i disabled the CCR tree in the AA Table and it does the same thing. i call in from the outside and listen to my company greeting then i hear startalk sally say "using the dial pad enter the extension you wish to reach" so i type in 224 (my ext) and it rings 4 times and then goes back to sally saying "using the dialpad enter the extension...." instead of my personal mbox

another thing i noticed when the transfer is in progress and my extension is ringing the call is not flashing on my intercom but instead on the line appearance. if i recall this could be a partial cause. since the intercom path is not ringing the call is being sent back to the VM DN without my extension number tagged. hence the voicemail just dumps it back to the AA instead of my MBOX

thanks again everyone

Just curious, is the mailbox initialized?

Could it have something to do with loading that patch for redirect issues. Symptoms are exactly the same, or maybe Voice Mail got turned off in Ftr983 option 4.

Yes its initilized. this is occuring for all of the Xfer's set up through the CCR

i'm sure i have bumped into this before when i was a field tech. i'm gonna mess around with the line assignments and the prime sets.

i cleared the prime set on line 026 thinking that might be it as it was set to the reception set.

like i said the call is not being transferred to an intercom path which is why i suspect that the call is not being treated as a call to the extension.

i don't know. maybe i'll start looking for pricing on a CP....anyone know if it works with MICS 0x32?

CP works with MICS

VM Software is REL06 Mod 3VG

i'm using line 026 as my test line. I have it set to answer on 0 rings as no one here understands dont pick up the phone (haha)

Are the lines supervised?

Yes sorry i forgot that i should have included that. All lines are set for supervision.

Why have Line Appearances, when fronted by an AA?

Adversity is Opportunity

Yes try taking line 26 off of that phone and see what happens when going to the extension.

Dumb question did you enter an ext. number in when the mailbox was built to associate the ext. to the mailbox?
