Was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue we are currently having. We have three contact centers all networked together via our NCC. We have a local CCMS at each of our sites... two of which are in IL and the third is in California. The CCMS' in IL both run fine and we have never really had an issue with them; however, our CCMS in California constantly has issues with the HDC (historical data collector) service crashing.

Thinking that there might be OS corruption on the California CCMS, we just recently built out a new Windows 2003 server and moved the database off the old server and on to the new yet two days later the service crashed again so I am assuming that it has to be something with the database or some other variable that's not tied to the hardware or OS. Anyone have a similar experience or an idea as to what could be happening?

Hi,tuffrog what patch level are you on on the two problematic CCMS's, Nortel have worked on these issues, and with about su 04 upwards the issues have stopped reoccurring on all our sites.

One problem we did see on a customer's site was the Data execution prevention was not turned off, causing an issue with data being written to the database, also check if any antivirus software is not polling the database during the scans . Check the NTPS for further information of both of these, and how to set them up.

A work around for the time being is to go to the CCMS_HDC service, go to properties, click on recovery and set all three failure options to restart the service, this will automatically recover the service after an issue, thus overcoming the problem.

Oh also, if you post this in the symposium forum, you may get more response. J
