Capturing Issues..

I am trying to capture from a Sony DCR-TRV520 to Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 on a Windows xp sp2 box.However, Premiere does not see the camera, but windows does recognize the box.

I have the same setup at work and everything works fine, everything on the surface seems good -- is there something i can try ?

You could try downloading the unregistered free trial version of Scenalyzer Live from

http://www.scenalyzer.com

and see if that can capture (it'll watermark video until you pay and register, but is otherwise fully functional).

If Scenalyzer can capture, then your Premiere installation is probably at fault.

If Scenalyzer doesn't work either, then maybe you have an issue with your FireWire setup somewhere.
