We are moving most of our call center to a cloud based pbx. However, support staff will stay on the NEC.

Not sure how we can transfer calls from support (NEC), to the cloud based users.

Once you do the transfer (the cloud PBX has a few did's we can forward to), if the support staff hang up, the connection is lost.

Any ideas on how to effectively handle transfers?

Also - Also, when trying to do a transfer, the display on the dterm handset shows recall and the person trying to perform the transfer's handset rings when they hangup (after the other person answers)

Are you transferring station calls to the cloud or calls that came in from outside the 2000?

If these are calls that came into the 2000 from outside then you need to run command 360 to allow trunk-to-trunk tandem connections.

We are transferring calls that came in from outside the 2000 to the cloud.

I was looking at CMD 360, but struggling to figure out how this needs to be updated to allow.

Do I need to update each trunk with a "1" to allow?

If your incoming route is 10 and your outgoing route is 20 then you would key 360 (data enter) followed by 1020 (data enter) and you would probably see a 1 (restricted). Here you would enter 0 (execute).

It would look like this:

360>1020:1-(place a 0 here and execute)

You may as well allow calls to come in on 20 and tandem out on 10

360>2010:1(place a 0 here and execute)

eta: Even if you only have one route (10 for example) you would have to enter:
360>1010:1(place a 0 here and execute)
