Guys,

Installing a new IP500 with no software on it??? (upgrading does not function)

looking at terminal I got this problem:

eceived BOOTP Response (IFace 00): C0.A8.2A.01

ERROR: TFTP Load Aborted (0x00000005)
Erase Main Image Storage Area

OK

ERROR: TFTP Load Aborted (0x00000005)
Erase Main Image Storage Area

So I need to do an "Erase Main Image Storage Area" before I can do a software installation. Any idea?

Thanks!

I alraidy did the AT command :)

Found the problem, added a bootp record to the manager and linked it to the ip500.bin file.

Still strange why there was no software installed on the IP500 like the ones I installed before...

Thanks

None of the 500's come with operational software. They all come as 4.0.0 which is just the loader.

Correct. But if you start the brandnew IP500 out of the box and then start Manager > UpgradeWizard and the verification option is not set then you get a IP500 without firmware because there is no valid BOOTP entry for this unit.
Thats what happened here.

Always open a config from the IP500 before upgrading, then there will always be a valid BOOTP entry for the unit.
