Greetings All,

What is the recommended softphone to use with IPO 9.1/One-X Portal 9.1?

Thanks,
Quaz

I think with R9.1 you could still use Softphone. At R10 it went to Communicator.

Telcomboy,

Thanks for the come back. There is a an Avaya Communicator 9.1.X on the Website which I downloaded and installed. It worked great until I changed the protocol from TCP to TLS. Then it no longer worked. I tried this on a 9.0.12 IP Office/One-X. I unloaded the software, rebooted and reloaded the Communicator software, I have the same problem. Must be registry thing. The is an Avaya Communicator 6.2. Is that for IP Office or Aura?

No it's a certificate thing. With TLS you need a certificate to use.

That does sound like a certificate issue as you do need a cert when using TLS, but the IP Office R9.1 downloads has Avaya Communicator on the site and if you click on it the version is R2.0.3.33. You may also have the wrong version of communicator.

Thank you, Guys, for the response. Telecomboy, I have the correct version and I wiped the directories and registry of Communicator. It is working beautifully, again.

How and where do the certificates get installed. I would guess there's a thread on this already.? I have the default certs from Avaya but am at a loss as to what goes where. who gets the security cert, who gets the key, and who gets pem file?

Thanks,
Quaz
