Hi all,
I have an issue getting a BCM50 R3.0 & Avaya IPO500v2 to talk to each other using h323 trunks
BCM calls to IPO are successful but when I try to call any extension within the BCM from IPO I get "NUMBER BUSY"
I checked the target line private & public rcv in BCM & they are OK.
it seems that the problem is in the IPO side as I used the BCM monitor during call initiation & noting hit the BCM.
any ideas?

Lodde, could be but i would have given it a try.
I agree it could not work at all.
Can the BCM to sip?
If yes then give that a go.

When you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

IP Office Core Software: Version 6.1

New feature:

• SIP Interoperability with Nortel BCM & CS1000 Systems

Never tried it. It´s in TB 127.

I'd guess that the BCM needs to do some routing from the IP line to extensions

We in the IPO world are a bit spoiled like that - the IPO will do an extension match before anything else, but I don't think other systems do.

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Lodde: I reviewd this thread & I already tried the SIP from IPO side to the BCM but it did not work, I used the configuration for IPO & cisco CUCM 7.1 with no success.

Tlpeter: I gave it try & changed the SC as you mentioed & it did not make any difference.

mattKnight: I did the required target lines for the BCM & I am already connecting the BCM with Trixbox using SIP trunks & it works perfectly.

Avaya announced that IPO6.1 & BCM6.0 could be connected using SIP trunks, I will upgrade the BCM to R6.0 & give it a try.

I gave it a try & changed the SC as tlpeter suggested & it did not make any difference.

Lodde: I reviewed the attached thread & I will try to use SIP from IPO to BCM, if it did not work I will upgrade the IPO to 6.1 & BCM to 6.0 & try SIP trunking.

mattKnight: the BCM is correctly configured & it is already connected with Trixbox using SIP & it works perfect both ways.

Lodde: I will try the solution suggested in the thread you pointed.

I already tried changing the SC at tlpeter suggested with no change.

the BCM is configured to route calss correctly & it is already connected to a trixbox using SIP.

I upgraded the IPO to R6.1 & still waiting for the BCM upgrade keycode.

I noticed that the SIP trunk setup hass changed than the 6.0 & I could not find the ITSP IP address, only the ITSP domain name.

anyone got IPO 6.1 to work with BCM 6.0 using SIP?
