I have a customer using a Polycom soundstation 2 ACU. It is connected to a GASM8+ on a BCM450. I have provided the customer with the following steps to initiate a 3 party conference call from the ACU:

1. Make or answer first call.
2. Press LINK, then 2. (this puts the first call on hold)
3. Make or answer the second call.
4 Press LINK * 3 to complete the conference.

This process does not work. When the link key is pressed followed by '2', the phone says join but the call is not placed on hold.

I have used this procedure at another customer (bcm200) and it worked fine. Would anyone have any other ideas for me to try?

Thanks,

– To hear DTMF tones on these telephones during dial, activate Long
Tones (FEATURE 808).

71)

Fireeater,

I am not able to adjust intercom keys, it shows as " N/A ".

You will not be able to adjust the intercom keys, as this is analogue. You can only have one intercom key on analogue sets. If you make your first call, put it on hold, use feature 807, this will give you dial tone again for you to place your second call. When you have made the second call use feature 3 to conference them. When you have the two calls conferenced, use the same method to bring in additional parties.

Khosher,

As there is no feature key on the set, I would hit link 807?

Straight from the BCM Analog Telephone User Guide.

To split a conference:
1. Press LINK #3. This allows you to put one caller on hold and to consult
with the other caller.
2. Press LINK 2 to alternate between callers.

1. Press LINK #3. This allows you to put one caller on hold.
2. Press LINK 2 to alternate between callers.
To end a call: Finish your conversion then replace the handset.
To retrieve the held call: Press LINK 2.

I would pause a couple of seconds between pressing FLASH and the digit. This allows the phone to actually generate the switch-hook signal.
