I am having a problem forwarding sets off-site on my BCM 400 R4.0. I installed all the most recent patches last week.

What I am trying to do is forward an extension off premise to a cell phone. I do Feature 4 9-1-XXX-YYY-ZZZZ with no problem. When I call the DID assigned to the set the call forwards to the user cell phone with the Caller ID with no issues. My trouble comes when someone dials into the auto attendant and dials the users extension. They immediately get a busy signal and the call disconnects. I have checked every setting I can think of with no luck. Anyone have a similar issue or know the resolution. Thank you in advance

Maybe your application dn's dont have acces to whatever pool calls use for your 9 + route.

Checked it. They all have access and I also checked the restrictions and all App DNs have no restrictions.

The thing is it is the phone side forwarding the call not the VM or AA the call is transfered to the set. The difference is the DID rings directly to the phone and when the AA answers it transfers the call to the set. What happens when another extention transfers a call to the set that is in forward. What Clid is sent out from the monitor.

The person who originates the call has their caller ID showing on the cell phone. If I transfer it to the extension or I dial the extension from another extension it goes through no problem.

sounds like Telco does not like the clid info the system is passing thru the circuit and causing a disconnect.

May want to add a Public OLI entry for the dns assigned to vm. and have telco trap the calls going across the circuit to see what is actually being sent.

not sure if you got this fixed. May want to verify the DN lengths in the Dialing Plan. By default 1 is set to 12 may have to decrease to 11.

Program a PublicOLI on the Application DNs used for Call Pilot.

You can test this while on site. Check to see if the extension you're forwarding from has a PublicOLI entered. If it does, remove it and try to make a call. If the call doesn't go through, then that's your problem.
