Avaya partner 509 processor.

When a call comes in AA Answers caller enters extension number and the call is transferred via direct extension transfer.

The recipient sees "voice messaging system". Instead of the caller ID, which they used to see.

I am looking for what I need to do to get caller ID to display.

Thank you
Andy

We set VMS hunt delay to 5 Rings and called in Caller Id is displayed then.

Thank You

The cpu is a 509 and the expansion card which holds the additional lines is a 408 EC

Thank You

First ring cycle will show voice messaging system, and they will hear Ring-Beep, since it's an internal Intercom call at that point

Starting with the 2nd ring, it should show Caller ID and the ring cadence will switch to Ring-Beep-Beep, as it's a Transfer now.

Now do you have the Automated Attendant answering before the 2nd Ring? Because that's when the Caller ID information comes in from the phone company. Maybe that's why they're not seeing it on the phones.

Thank you very much.

Makes perfect sense.
