Avaya 5410/5420 busy signal when dialing hunt group

Hi All, I have a new IP400 system, software version 4.0(5), and 4 locations.

We have several hunt groups for various departments, and when a call comes in for a department, the receptionists have been instructed to ring the call to the hunt group.

One location is unable to reach 2 specific hunt groups, they just get a busy signal and the call drops. I am very new to voice telephony and have no idea why they are getting a busy signal for these 2 groups. They DID work when the system was installed, but have started getting busy signals in the last few days. They can call all other hunt groups, and only this location has the issue, other locations can call all hunt groups.

I had removed some IP trunks that were shown on my remote locations that shouldn't have been there and were causing us some other problems, but this stated happening before I made those changes. Any assistance would be appreciated.

kurthansen, only one site has this problem, our 3mm site can call them, our 1mm site can call them, only our highway store can't call this group.
 
Is the group on the IPO with the IP address of 192.168.3.180? Try looking on the monitor of that IPO when a call comes from one that works and one that doesn't and compare.

Just take System status and do a snapshot. Make sure you check the include system configuration box. Just going from memory so I could be wrong.

Another way to do it is from Manager open each configuration then do file save as.

If I could I would like the config from each site.

MainSite is 192.168.0.180
Hwy is 10.10.1.180, the site that can’t reach hunt groups 536 & 537 at the 21mm
21mm is 192.168.3.180
1mm is 192.168.2.180

kurthansen, i have a question: while saving the configs, which I did in Manager for each site with a save as, I noticed that one of the sites also had the plain save option lit. Does this mean that that config had NEVER been saved? I shudder to think that that could have been the case.
 
The save option was just to save whatever change you had made to the IPO. You must have changed a setting or manager thought you had so it was saying you could save the settings to the IPO.

I would advise you work with Kurt for your support as soon as you can extricate yourself from your relationship with your vendor. He seems to care more about your issues, and he is just doing peer assitance.

 
Thanks aarenot & jml2665, I am working with kurt, you have all been invaluable. I will look for another BP in my area, although I have a feeling they might be few and far between here. I am in a fairly rural location.

I have already told my boss that I think our vendor should bring in an Avaya exppert and they should go over everything with a fine tooth comb. Meanwhile I continue to work with Kurt.
