I've had a quick search through the forum and can't find an answer to this:

In my demo setup (7.0.31) I have both the normal 3 call appeareances and 2 analogue line appearances on my IP and digital phones with incoming calls set to come into a collective hunt group so both a call appearance and a line appearance ring on an incoming call. If I add an analogue cordless phone into the hunt group then an incoming call rings for 2 cycles, the caller hears an American voice (Australian locale system) saying the call cannot be connected and the IP Office disconnects the call.

I have a prospect who would be looking for this setup as him and his wife run businesses from home so they would want separate business lines and home line (probably analogue) and want some cordless phones for convenience. Surely I wouldn't have to go to an IP DECT setup?

Have you checked the cordless phone by ringing it to see if the same thing happens.
You may have a forward or DND on.

To my best knowledge ( we never use analog lines nor line appearance keys ) if you program line appearance keys then the ICR routing will not be used. So the calls do not reach the collective group.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Snowman50: It's a brand new system so I don't think there are any diverts set on the analogue phone but will check although that wouldn't cause the strange recording after 2 ring cycles and the call being dropped unless it was forwarded to an invalid destination.

Intrigrant: I'm wondering if the Line Appearances are upsetting things. On the incoming call you get both the 1st Call Appearance and the Line Appearance lit with the phone ringing. I'll do some more testing on it to confirm what does what and when.

My demo system was originally supplied as R8 chassis but R7 licenses and it was suggested to downgrade to R7 then upgrade to R8 to try to trigger the virtual essential license which didn't work. Avaya have sent me an R8 upgrade license which I have applied and brought it back to R8. The hunt groups are now functioning as they should with analogue members and Line Appearances on the digital and IP phones.

CLI is also working properly now with the Line Gains staying fixed after multiple reboots.

isctech, you will have a lot less problems with IPO if you do not use line appearance keys.

that are never almost never needed (I cant think of one scenario where I would want to use line appearance keys)
