Hi all.

This is my first installation of an analogue extension on the IPO.

The extension is default and on port 7 of a COMBO 4U ATM. The extension has a number 2087. When I call other extensions it displays no user. I have then created a user X with extension 2087.Still when I call with 2087 to other extensions it continues to display no user.
If I call 2087 from other extensions I get NUMBER BUSY.

How do I make extension 2087 belong to a user X and make it able to receive calls?

You don't make analog extn, they are loaded automatically.
But you need to locate and renumber it

Look in your extn list, something like
1 <extn> BP1 7 (the BP is the module number)

Kind regards

Gunnar

Thank you for your response. In the extn list is:-
Extension Id:7 > Base Extension :2087 > Caller Display Type : ON > Device Type: Analogue Handset > Location: system(None)> Module: BP1 > Port >7

2087 wont receive calls. Number Busy
2087 shows NO USER.

How can I make 2087 to receive calls and have a USER?

If there is no user created? Do that, assign 2087 as extn number

Kind regards

Gunnar

If you made the user since last time IPO was rebooted, simply log user into extension or reboot IPO

Give it a Login Code password 1234, User/Telephony/Supervisor Settings and then hotdesk in on that extension *35*2087*1234# sometimes analogue need to hotdesk in to their extensions when no user shows up.

Thank you all. in the end I had to login *35*2087*1234#. Was not expecting analogue extensions to require logging in.

They don't, unless you messed around with the numbering/users in the first place or renumbered the ports incorrectly :)

I also have seen this same issue when changing extensions in software without a reboot, this forum has taught me to always log the extension in and out to resolve the issue, lesson learned and besides better than a reboot.
