I am running win2k pro on mt home comp and would like to set up Administrative Auto-logon. So when I turn it on in the morning it will boot right to the desktop.
Security is not an issue.
Thanks in advance.

Go to the Control Panel and click on Users and Passwords.

You will see there is a radio button option which allows the computer to log on with a specified user account.

When you set this option, you will be asked to specify the username and password of the account to use for auto-logon.

NOTE: The auto-logon option is a security risk and should only be set on computers in a private environment.

I am using a W2K Professional at work and there is no radio button option to log on with a specified user account. Pleaes explain in more detail how you did this and your OS??? I seen nothing at Start-->Settings-->Control Panel-->Users and Passwords.

Please advise.

Thanks,

-Brett

It is not possible to do this if your computer is a member of a domain, the button is removed.
