Hi All,

I am having issues using our RDP server to dial up to 9.0 and 9.1 IP Offices. Older versions work OK and a colleague who uses their own ISDN can dial up OK to the same systems without an issue. I can open the manager program and it finds the IP Office (broadcast and static) but when I try and open the config the issue I get is "Network error - Failed to communicate with IP Office". I have tried security settings on and off, DHCP and static IP Addresses, using the default gateway on the dialup and not and also trying to using the LAN2 ip address, I have checked and we do not have CPS on out ISDN lines. I have turned antivirus on and off / windows firewall is off. I have also tried to add a route and get the same issue. I can ping the IP Office and can load SSA all OK and Web Browse (although it is a bit slow) OK. Does anyone have any other ideas please? Thanks for your time

Hi Rossi46

Did you get this issue resolved?
We are having the exact same problem to certain sites including some legacy ones on R7 and R8.1!

Cheers

Dave

We have this issue at times. We use Primux USB ISDN modems which we don't seem to get the issue on but when using the Eicon Diva USB ISDN modem the issue does appear at times.

Get hold of Draytek mini vigors if you can (ebay), never have any issues with them whatsoever, and they have windows 7 drivers on their website :)

Sadly the Draytrek will not dial up to Panasonics, Siemens HiPaths...
I guess we could have 2 modems on each machine :)

Check if your carrier is using some kind of compression on your lines. We had the exact same issue (UK) and when we forced the call over the BT network (with 1280) it worked OK. Turned out our alternate carrier's network (using CPS) was compressing calls which included the 64/128k data calls too!

We dial up to Panasonics TDAs with them (well not me, our company), never tried Siemens however :)

Hi, Thank you all for your responses. It appears that it may be an issue with the spec of the PC as it is only 32bit with 2Gb or RAM. When we get the PC's upgraded, I will check again and advise. Thanks again for all you help.

We have tried Divas and Drayteks, both with the same result - to certain sites...
I will try the 1280 though!
