I have a 10.1 server edition:

Added the HoldMusic.wav to the opt/ipoffice/system/primary directory as required through the embedded file manager. Tested and music played as expected.

I want to replace that Music with new.

I deleted the file with embedded file manager and loaded the new file... The OLD music still played.

What am I missing?

(New"ish" to IP office - Thanks for the assistance)

did you reboot after uploading the new music on hold file?

That will be the next step.

I had hoped it was not necessary :/ - The file uploaded and played on the original upload without a reboot.

it shouldn't need a reboot of the whole server
simply & shutdown & restart of the IP Office service (not really that much different regarding user disruption except I would expect it to be somewhat quicker)

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Delete old file - Reboot - then upload new?
OR
Delete old - upload new - then reboot?

As long as there is no holdmusic in the system it will check periodically for a file -> that's why after uploading the original/first holdmusic it worked automatically.
As soon as the system has a valid holdmusic it stops checking the file and just uses the music held in RAM -> if you change the .wav now it will never be activated unless you reboot the IPO (service) which will force the system to re-load the holdmusic file.

good description Alfalis, have some pink
