    Nortel Communication Manager 6.0 server

Thanks Bc1111 & Janaya. Actually I have already deleted the old_logs file. I also saw many and large tar.gz and .dif files in the /var/opt/nortel/lhmonitor. My mate told me that I should be able to delete the tar.gz files with no effect on the server's operation. Just need to confirm if this is ok.

    Nortel Communication Manager 6.0 server

Thank you John. I have just removed the files that you have stated and the usage has dropped to 84% clearing the critical, however I would still like to remove some more useless data on there to get some clearance from the 85% mark. Is there any other files that I can possible remove without...

Hi, I am receiving an error on my Nortel communications manager signaling server running 6.0 s/w. There is a critical error which states that "DEV HDA5 is passed 85% and is nearly full with only a numbered amount of space remaining." I have looked at the devices and HDA5 is presently at 92%...

    Auth code on BCM sets

Hi, I have BCM 400 systems tied to CS1K Option 61C via SIP and this does centralized Authcode authentication for all BCM systems to PSTN via E1s. The problem is before the BCMs did their own authentication and the codes would not show on the screen, however now that I have set up centralized...

How do I uninstall backup NRS

Hi Matt thank you for response. I seem to get from your post that you are saying that I must have the BSS off before removing the BSS config on the Primary UCM. If so I think it actually was still powered up and connected to the network when I did the removal of the BSS config under elements. If...

How do I uninstall backup NRS

I have multiple CS1K sites which all route thru Primary NRS at the main site(node 203). All sites are running 6.0. We have decided to deploy backup NRS to reside at one of the remote sites. For testing purposes I installed the backup/secondary Sig server/UCM at the main site (203) where the...

    Nortel IP sets power problems

Problem sorted......what it was is the ports on the 4550 was set to deliver 6W of power and for some reason this was not enough for the intial burst of power needed to power some of the phones. Once that was recognised the ports were set to deliver 8W and all is fine now. Thanks

    Nortel IP sets power problems

Cabling is suspected, however I have had someone do this exact test on the switch port and got mixed results ie...one worked fine and another did not work using the same cable and port. I will be visiting the site and will give feedback from this test.....THANKS thus far

Sorry Acer if I wasn't clear enough, but the PC is connected to the phone's PC port and it works fine but the phone does not boot up. The phone switching capability works fine but the phone itself does not power up.

    No CPND across DPNSS

Well according to the NTP it can work on DPNSS1 links but the dialling plan has to be UDP. Has anyone ever implemented thus?

    No CPND across DPNSS

Well I have seen it work between Nortel CS1k and other systems over DPNSS links, and according to the NTPs it should work.

    DCH not establishing

Ld96 DCH is "OPER RLS". Goes thru the AEST...SDCH...but does not establish. Should the DCH not still come up even if clocking is disabled?? Can I test this circuit on a working Q931 link which is terminating on Md110?? Will I have to chge any config for this to work?

    DCH not establishing

Configured a new PRI2 Q.931 circuit for access to CO but there is a remote alarm on the card. IS that the reason why my DCH is not establishing a connection even if the trunks are idle?? Can I test this PRI2 on an existing working Q.931 trunk which is presently working on an MD110? ADAN...
