    Replacing a SSC

I think what caused this failure is that on Christmas our A/C unit went down. Our servers began to shut down at the 120 degree mark. So this switch was baking until we could get someone to go into the office and get some air flowing. Nothing like trying to get someone to go into the office on...

    Replacing a SSC

Thanks everyone we got the system back up and running, just the SSC card was bad, no data loss.

    Replacing a SSC

So the database is stored on the daughterboard? I don't think we have a PCMCIA card in this switch.

    Replacing a SSC

We had a SSC card go bad this morning in an Option 11c and the entire switch is down. I have a replacement SSC but not sure what needs to happen to get the system up and running again. Do I have to swap out the memory, daughter cards, and the dongle/battery thing? Any other steps?

Nortel & Cisco playing nice except...

Recently we setup a Cisco Unified Call Manager and this weekend we integrated it into our Nortel 61C. Physical connectivity is: We have 3 PRIs that connect directly into a Cisco 3925 router. From that 3925 we have QSIQ (3 PRIs) into the Nortel All call scenarios that I can come up work...

    Caller ID funkiness

The whole story changes now, I hate not being on site for this specific reason. The dialing method is what is causing the major difference. I had no idea the users were using this other dialing method so all testing done was under a false assumption. We have one of the dumbest things setup...

    Caller ID funkiness

Doh, those lines use to be analog, now are digital. So scrap the analog and digital difference. The rest of the information holds true. Sorrya about that mix u

    Caller ID funkiness

I made those changes. Analog line still comes up correctly. Digital line now comes up with HLOC number and extension number. So for you given example of the CLID the caller ID is showing at 8828080xxx, where xxx is the extension of the calling number.

    Caller ID funkiness

I want the outbound caller ID to be the same for every phone. Therefore I only have one CLID entry. That CLID is assigned to every phone. The odd part is that when I make an outbound call from an analog line I get the correct 10 digit caller ID, when I call outbound from a digital phone I get...

61C to Cisco 2821 via PRI

Much improvement today, Cisco box needed some help as well. I am now able to dial internally from deskphone -> SIP server, SIP server -> deskphone, SIP server -> External number. But I am not able to dial from the outside into the SIP server, the operator intercepts the call. I am...

61C to Cisco 2821 via PRI

I am able to make calls from the SIP server to Nortel phone and over the PSTN connected to the Nortel. Just can't get a Nortel to call to the SIP server at x8500.

61C to Cisco 2821 via PRI

Okay so I built the route/trunks as TIE with QSIG. I am unable to dial dsc number of 8500, fast busy, so the call isn't even reaching the TIE route. Below is how its currently built. Anyone know what I might have wrong. Thanks for the all this tips so far. DES CISCO TN 007 01 TYPE TIE...

61C to Cisco 2821 via PRI

SSJ can you elborate as to why it won't work. I built a cdp and I can get calls to go to the gateway now. However they aren't ending up at the session target (Crisco) without additional digits being entered.

61C to Cisco 2821 via PRI

We have an option 61 that is connected to a Cisco 2821 via a PRI. I've hit a road block with the dial plan. What I would like to happen is for someone to dial x8500 and ring through to the Cisco dial-peer. Below is what I have programmed currently, just need some guidance on being able to get...

    Internal digit conversion

Without getting into too many details of the web I have weaved. I have the need to convert x3051 to x6051 for internal purposes only. I can't use ACD due to display problems. I can't use IDC since I don't need to convert anything incoming. DGT appears to need a route and I don't have a route...
