    Maybe its a corrupt DB... Try initialize database... this will clean your DB. (you have to merge tapes afterwards if you wanna restore something) Its done in server admin .... And check the things david say too

    Problem is solved. Apperently these actions did the trick: Clean tape drive Upgraded to latest version 9.01 SP1 Initialize database (start with empty database) Disable real-time AV scanning during backup ! Thx to david for all his help

    did you stop the services a few times ???? Run cstop and after that run cstart (in brightstor backup folder !!)

    Make sure you got a blank formatted tape and test then. Calculate the size of your backup and compare it to the size your tape can handle uncompressed !!!     Ok i am bit further with the log files: I did a db initialize so i cleaned my database. After that i stopped arcserve with cstop Renamed the LOG folder to OLD_LOGS after that i started arcserve again with cstart LOG folder was recreated automaticly and my logs appeared again in the manager...

    Is your media name same as what it ask for : F-LUE-THU-07.04.05 or is it a blank tape ? if not format tape and give it the F-LUE-THU-07.04.05 as name Or you can choose option to take any media in backup job options

    Last night i monitored the backup..... what i did was... Cleaned the tape drive Disabled real time virus scanning.. Killed a proces called dbclean2.exe that runs at the same time as my backup... After that i had a throughput of 400 mb/min Anyone knows how to schedule that dbclean2.exe process...
