Cheers folks, Ill try runnig the bootcfg from the recovery console and see what that comes up with. I've played around with the boot order to see if that would make a difference and turned on the SMART setting in the BIOS too, but it made no difference. Ill let you know how i get on. C

Well, I dont know what the issue was with the drive letter, it was auto mapping to H, but this wouldnt appear. So, I did as adivsed and changed the letter to M in disk manager - I strongly doubt ANYTHING would ever try to use that letter - and lo and behold, there it is in my computer!! Thanks...
