Machine Cannot Access Intranet Over VPN

Hi All,

I dont know too much about networking, so hopefully this should be easier for all you guys than it is for me. I am currently working for a company that has 16 market offices all connected via a VPN. Out main site, site A, hosts many of the systems that are shared throughout the network and can only be accessed by machines on the network. One such system is out intranet. Unfortunately, some peoples machiens on the network do not seem to be able to access the intranet, a 'Cannot Find Server' message is the general error, especially in one of our market offices, site B.

All GP updates, log-on functionality, emails, internet etc work for these machines, just not this one thing. I know that in order to VNC onto a machine in site B, i must first RDP onto site A and then use that machine as my base - i first thought that this may be the problem, then realised that this is stupid because Site A hosts the intranet.

So basically, can anyone think of why, a machine in site B can access all systems from site A except this one system?

If you need anymore information, ill be happy to supply what i can.

Bit of extra information that i left out by mistake, the DC in site B can seem to access the intranet in site A, its just the user workstations that cant seem to access it.

Also, sorry for my poor spelling.

Can you ping this machine (Use ip address then machine name)
this will tell you if the machine shows up in the host arp table and if a name can be resolved.Have you checked the nic
setup on this machine ?
