Okay I found out what to do just in case someone else runs into the same problem. You need the box the software came in because it has the Registration ID for each Product.
To get a license registered so you don't get an error in the event log you need to call the Computer Associates license...
I saw a similar thing on my neighbors computer. He called me over and I could not believe my eyes. There was not start button or menu bar. I thought for sure he had a virus. I put Stinger on a CD from my machine and ran it but no virus.
It turned that he had SP2 automatically downloaded via...

I have licensed install of Arcserve 2000 Advanced Edition Version 7.0 backup server running on a old WinNT server that I am retiring. I have built a new Win2k Server and loaded the same Arcserve 2000 Advanced Editions Version 7.0 software on the new server. It is all working now and I am ready...
Is the name of the telecom PC in the Active Directory of the Primary Domain. If so remove it and then the telecom PC probably won't have access to the Primary Domain.
Read the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 32785 having to do with MaxTokenSize. This has solved many similiar problems for us. But of course we are not dealing with WinNT4 PCs. You probably have to make the registry hack on the Win2k domain server. Just a thought.

Thank You DebiJo for pointing me in the right direction.
I found the latest downloads and patches for Arcserver 2000 at http://supportconnect.ca.com/public/storage/arcserve2000supp.asp. From there I was able to install SP5.
Now my next question is how can I verify that SP5 is really installed...
We use Arcserve 7.0 and my experience has shown that if for any reason one file fails to get backed up then the job will show an "incomplete". Perhaps a file was open and Arcserve could not back it up so therefore the job would be "incomplete". As far as I know an "incomplete" only means some...
In the FAQ "How do I prepare for Arcserve 2000 Install" the document "How do I patch Arcserve 2000 FAQ" is referenced. Unfortunately I can't seem to fine the document that says how to patch Arcserver 2000. Can someone help?
Thank You
