I have a situation where a customer is trying to hook up another connection via a 512 frame ckt from a Passport 6480 (7.06) on a DS1 card to a Cisco 1700. I have never connected to a Cisco and am having trouble getting the protocol to come up. Is there anything that I need to do different on...
You might want to check into this.
Nortel will not support the tandeming of a DID to Tie at all.
I have this same problem at another customer. This is what we did:
1) Built all Pri's to PSTN on first PBX as Tie
2) Built Pri's btwn 2 pbx's as tie with "ESN5" (needed for NCOS passing from...
I agree with janaya. Network evaluation is key. If you can support 802.1p on the edge and diffserv on your layer3 you should be in a very good position(assuming your backbone is beefy). Just remember that you have to factor in the heavy TDM connections via the agents when configuring the...
I have seen something like this on another OPT81C with an Octel. Try going through the parameters on the Octel and make sure that it checks for nothing before transferring just transfers. See if that helps.
ld 36
TRK000
.call 4 0 0 1
DN?
.7341134 This sets up the test center line
now you have a line tied into the pbx for audio
.trk 4 0 0 2
DN? At this point you hear dial tone
.8599837340
Now you can have a conversation via the test center line you setup. If you get an error code...
Not really, Log into ld 36 and use "call l s c u" (tn of a trunk. Then input the digits to call a phone at your location (via DID or PVR. At that point the phone that you called to can provide audio when you issue the "trk" command. At the "dn" prompt you should here the dial tone on the set...
Different CO equipment used. Also you would have to trace a call to insure that the line connected to that phone is the trunk you think it is. Or you could clip a butt set on the copper line to make sure that you do not have a bad trunk port on the card in the pbx. (also a possibility)
try using "trac 0 XXX" in ld 80 (xxx=ext#)
It should give you where your call connected.
If you have I think RLS 24 or above, you might want to try the Enhanced trace command:
ENTC 28 0 0 15 10 -- enables command on tn 28 0 0 15 for 10 minutes.
followed by
GOTR executes the command
STPT...
Are you using a Maint terminal or a maint set? If you are using the maint. set you should hear dialtone at the "dn?" prompt. If you are using a terminal you can't. The reason this is important is that you could have a problem on that copper line. You can sieze but no dial tone is provided by...
You should be getting an "L" record output from your CDR.
That is the internal cdr record output. If you are dumping to a file on a pc you should be able to filter into an Excell sheet or a filter on MS Word.
It souonds to me like you have the legacy Meridian Max acd system. I'm not sure what you are talking about when you mentioned the "other" module.
The Max used to links to the PBX the High Speed Link and the Load Management link. The High Speed Link(HSL) was used by the pbx to send all...
If I understand what your saying in this correctly....
You are trying to use ld 36 and sieze the trunk for test dialing. If that is correct the testing of a trunk is outbound numbers not in towards the pbx.
I hope this helps
