cwc3,
I don't have a site from which you can pull my number. Can I call you? I'm happy to email or PM you through another venue.
Thanks for helping me out.
cwc3 - I'm the NYC area. I never concluded absolutely that the 308 was bum and decided over the holidaty to try one last time to fix it; I think it must be related to low voltage on the ringer as even when I connect a ST directly to the port it won't ring but if I bypass the 308 altogether the...
Brian,
Thanks for detailed response. Looks like I'm now in over my head as I don't know how to do most of what you suggested. Know of any good techs in the NY area?
Best,

Rivet,
Thanks for responding. I believe that the issue is the ringer voltage. Before I go down that route I just want to double check to make sure it is not something else. I called the main ext (the one for the PT from which the portable phone is connected (it doesn't have a seperate ext)...
I've been trying to troubleshoot this issue for some time and thought I'd try posting this problem again. I am trying to run a standard cordless phone off a T7230. The phone works but it won't ring. I've turned on and off the parallel (391) but it still won't ring. Any ideas?
bcastner,
I had done this before and decided in my origianl post to show the config the last know time it was working. When I obtain the addresses automatically I get the following ipconfig settings:
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : A
Primary Dns...
This is the current config. If I try to repair or ipconfig /renew, the IP address either goes to 169.254.x or 0.0.0.0.
here are the ipconfig settings..
C:\Documents and Settings\A>ipconfig /all
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : A
Primary Dns...
bcastner,
Originally the laptop was connected through an SMC router (barricade 7004AWBR). My recent troubleshooting has been firectly connecting the cable modem to the laptop (through an internal card - Broadcom 570x Gigabit Integrated...). The interesting thing is that even when I disable...
Got a similar problem. Can't get my network connection working. I'm connecting through a cable modem. Have tried repair (through XP and manually through cmd prompt), tried using static addresses, netsh steps from MSFT, even restored to a previous time when I could connect. I tried...
Thanks. Tried and no luck. I'm giving up and just bypassing the system and connecting this phone/answering machine directly to the CO line. It's a bummer but I've seemed to done everything but replace the ksu
CWC3
thanks. I already had a copy of the manual. I reset the system (600) and connected a PT to jack 1/ext 11. I connected a standard phone into the PT. Parrallel is on, 603 is set to Ring IMDT. I even tried to turn the XDP port on and set the Standard as ext 21. The phone works but it...
I am up and running! They said it couldn't be done but it was a piece of cake. Am running Cablevision's VOIP product through my system. The only problem I am having is that I can't seem to get a standard phone (connected through a XDP port) to ring; which means, I can't hook up an answering...
I am trying to connect a non-panasonic phone (to use my favorite cordless one). I get dial-tone but when the phone won't ring. If I pick up the phone during a test, there is a connection just not a ring. Any ideas?
thank you. That is what assumed what I was told by the VoIP provider that it won't work with a digital system. I'm hoping to set it all up today.
Thanks!
