we have an ipo running v8.1 with 1608 handsets running 1.3.2 firmware.
we've received a new batch of 1608 handsets. they need to be upgraded to 1.3.5 to avoid the known issue of duplicate mac addresses on a downgrade to 1.3.2
is there a routine to upgrade the handsets to 1.3.5 without upgrading...

we've recreated user rights on each site with the same name to give user same rights when hotdesking on remote site.
did you get this remote user rights to work across the scn?

just a centralised flat list of contacts with phone number and account id. the only requirement is the account id displaying on the handsets.
the database would be access 2000 probably. almost static. occasional additions or changes at most.
the idea is to present an account code on the handsets on the incoming call.
eg incoming number 1234567 presents account id 4444444 on the handset display.

confirmed problem was telco providing 16 with only 8 enabled on ipo.
fyi. support confirmed there is no way from ipo apps to tell how many channels telco is providing.
i can't ask telco support until monday morning as i'm trying to verify this over the weekend.
even then i'd like to independently confirm the number of channels the telco has enabled.
the reason i'm asking is it appears as if we're getting more channels than we ordered.
