    Check your IDE cables first...and the power cable. If its not that use admin tools to see if Windows sees it...if it does unmount it then mount it back. This is assuming you are running 2k or XP Saradine

    First thing you should always do in this case is check your cables. They are pretty easy to break when you are switching them around. If those are good then I would try to unmount the drive in "admintools/computer management/ or whatever (im not at my home PC and this comps admin rights are...

    Try all of those things and you can also try updating your IE to 6.0. But above all I would say dump the 98 and go to atleast 2k if not XP
