    merlin magix rel 4

I wonder why the designers didn't make "0" more flexible before they pulled the plug. Mike in NH

    Group-Page with G96xx sets?

Montyzummer, So, the 8300s LSP acts much like the G3 with duplication, assessing the core link health, ready to take over. If that's a true statement what controls a station to station call (once established) in the same switch, the local Media Processor? Thanks for your help, Mike in NH

    Group-Page with G96xx sets?

While I have you. When I dial the group-page access extension does the paging come from the core or LSP? What happens if the IP link to the core is down? Can the LSP be programmed to do the group=paging even if the link to the core is working? Just trying to understand the limitations. Mike in NH

    Group-Page with G96xx sets?

Right now I have a G350/8300C with (15) 64xxD type sets all together in group-page #1. If I upgrade to S8300 and IP off an Aura "core switch" using G96xx phones will I still be able to have the "group-Page" ? Thank you in advance, Mike in NH

Thoughts on dealing with remote access with todays digital lines- what works best?

Just a note. I administer 31 AVAYA Magix Systems from a central location and use the IP Socket Magix unit made by Interactive Northwest, Inc. It has saved alot of money in travel cost and down time over the years. It requires a "STATIC" IP address at the remote site, is very reliable and...

    SecureCTR/ Merlin Messaging question

I'm testing a product called SecureCTR on a Lab Windows 7 OS to see if I can get into a Merlin Messaging 3.0 . I can IP into the MMessaging now using WIN XP but Windows 7 doesn't support the 16bit Merlin Messaging Admin software and the (group) I work for doesn't allow "compatability mode" for...

    Night Service after power failure.

Merlinman and HiDesert I had a customer that says her NS shut off after a power failure, couldn't duplicate it on the Lab switch so I thought I'd ask. Thank you both very much ! Mike

    Night Service after power failure.

Would a cold/warm start after a power failure default an active NS button ? Has anyone ever heard of this on a Merlin Legend V7 ? Thanks for any info, Mike

Get messages off Merlin Messaging for court case?

You can make a .wav file of them, but it's tricky and takes a little practice. You need to have access to an AVAYA Communication Manager PBX with Intuity Audix and Message MANAGER loaded on a lap top computer. From the AVAYA CM call into the Merlin Messaging like your going to listen to them...

    Merlin Messaging 3.0.0.3 June 2003

Thank you both for responding. I have Windows 7 loading issue with all the Merlin Messaging CDs, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 4.0 . My customer will not allow the use of XP Compatability Mode for security reasons. I thought if AVAYA or someone made a newer CD than maybe it would be compatable with the...

Merlin Messaging Unified Messaging software on Windows 7?

Jaduke, I have installed Merlin Messaging 4.0 on a (Windows-7 Pro) using XP compatability mode, if you don't have it with your "7" I think you can download it from the Microsoft site.. Let us know how you make out. Mike

Merlin Messaging software Backup and restore

Telcomgear, Before you spend your time and money, test the power unit at peak usage (11am to 2pm), if it's even slightly marginal replace it. I would also re-seat that MM board and visually make sure the carriers are properly connected . My 2 cents.

Merlin Magix Compatible Analog phone list

Jayjoker, Electrically the 008-OPT circuit pack is different than the 012 and 016 cards. For most analog phones and most fax machines all 3 of these analog cards will work. The exception I’ve found are “auto dialing” weatherproof phones typically used at security gates. These analog phones...

Merlin Messaging software Backup and restore

Telcomgear, Going back to your original post. How do you recover it when it crashes and is the MM4.0 circuit pack located in carrier #2 by any chance? Mike

Merlin Messaging software Backup and restore

Telcomgear, You will need to "telnet" in from the COM port (8 None 1) to add or change the IP address on the MM 4.0 Mike in NH
