Have you installed the appropriate desktop print drivers for the Printers?
When you choose the printer in the chooser it should generate a desktop printer icon on the desktop, then (in Quark anyway) you need to make sure the right PPD is installed in the right folder so the apps see the printer...

I understand wanting to change the name of the file, but if you are printing to postscript files to send to a RIP, usually the rip will see the original file name and rip it to that name. We work on our customer files until all changes have been made then do a "Save As" to our file naming...
Make sure "File Sharing" is on on all the machines, then in System Preferences on the PAnther machine you should see them through the Network Prference pane. I have no probs connecting to all my machines, including PCs and older Clone Macs but I did have to go back and check that File Sharing...

I want to stop domain users from changing any registry setting (stopping then install any software). Can you do that through polices in XP? if so does anyone know how?
