I have several BIG legacy systems in Foxpro Windows 2.6b, and several in VFP 7.0/9.0.
I've haven't been messing with my FPW2.6 in a while.
Went to get in to change something... lockups everytime.
Narrowed it down by using start, run, msconfig (startup), and seeing the LIMEALIVE.EXE...

Hello. I am using VFP 7.0 and FPW2.6. I know all the FOX2x sutff etc, is it the same with VFP 9?
I'm debating on whether to update to 9 right now, or wait.... or is there a reason to wait.

I have Foxpro 2.6Windows apps and VFP 7.0 apps linked. They still share and both update common files. Can VFP 9.0 open/update/append etc to 2.6 files?

On Windows 98SE it would "FREEZE" after using applications such as IE, Netscape, Word, etc.. But not everytime.
Went to Win XP computer. Problem disappeared completely.
I apologize for my lack of clarity in original post. "Customer in another state", means this is happening at a client site (customer) that is several hundred miles away (USA State Code), I cannot get actual hands-on the network to really dig-in and debug/pinpoint the problem.
EXACT same thing. Win Xp get "NOT A DATABASE" when there is actually not a problem in the file, on a network. When other users get out goes away....
