Good; because the comm slot ethernet card will run smoother and more reliable and you can put a modem in the processor direct slot.- ebuddy889

Networking my computers.
Throw away the Appleshare Prep file inside the Preferences Folder inside the System Folder by dragging it to the trash icon and choosing empty trash from the Special menu, then Restart the computer. Note this obviously only works in System 9.2.2 and earlier which I'm assuming the Performa is...- ebuddy889

Apple Video System
The extra slot you refer to is a slot for a video out card. If you have the video out card you can play quicktime movies on a tv using either S-Video or Composite Video. If you are seeing problems with the video make sure you are viewing at thousands of colors and you have virtual memory and...- ebuddy889

Optical mouse woes
I've had my Apple Pro USB Mouse for over 2 years with heavy use and I've never had any problems with it. Much faster than the old ADB and no need to clean the rollers and ball. I'd buy a G5 but I'm not rich.......- ebuddy889
