The reason the problem arises with this one person is because the sender on M$ LookOut will have a personal address book entry for the Notes recipient.
In the properties for this recipient the default format for mail sent to this recipient will be "Outlook Rich Text".
This assumes that the...

Its a good one isn't it. The field level help indicates that entering acme.com matches serve1.acme.com - but it does not specify that it also matches xacme.com, which seems to be the case for you.
Have you tried using dotted notation i.e. ".cs.com"

Very useful post, Server is not under contract support any longer so am naturally keen to limit any risk of data loss.
Any further advice or tips would be appreciated.

This can be set one of two ways.
(1) In the Public Address Book you may have a program document which specifies that compact is to run at 23:00
OR
(2) In the servers NOTES.INI (C:\WINNT\NOTES.INI) you may find the parameter SERVERTASKSAT23=compact
The 2nd option is rather crude, because you...
In the Domino directory on your server go to the Server\Certificates view. (May appear as configuration\Certificates on R6).
Now Expand the Notes certificates category
Do you see a document matching your certifier e.g. /ACME.
If the document exists -
- Open this document in Edit mode

If you obtain the standard Notes 6.5 template this includes a number of new features.
One of which is to include in all folders incl. the inbox a small icon which very quickly shows whether or not an e-mail has been replied to (shows arrow pointing left), forwarded (shows arrow pointing right)...
I've not tried this yet because we are all ND6.
However, what you need to bear in mind is that IBM won't support any version of Domino on W2K3 prior to Domino 6.0.3.
If you have an IBM support contract, deploying on this OS renders the contract virtually useless.

I gave up using Incremental Installers ages ago. They are a pain in a***!
Now I just use the full install which is downloadable, or arrives on passport advantage CDs. (or whatever the program is now).
Anyway, this means that I am not tied to installing every update to go from 5.0.7 to 5.0.12...
As part of your logon script are you identifying a default printer selected from many
OR
Is there only one printer to be mapped.
If it is the former, comment out the necessary lines in the script to map only one printer and then see what happens.

You will most likely find this is a Windows 2000 GUI setting.
Click the close window control on the console and select the properties.
On the options tab ensure that quick edit mode and insert mode are deselected.
If this is not the case then every time you click the mouse in the console...
If you haven't got this sorted yet the field you need to set is:
Allow messages only from the following internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains:
Lets a assume a generic domain of acme.com and a mail server IP address of 192.10.10.10
The field contents will look like this...
You will need to do the following:
(1) Cross certification: As a minimum the two servers sending and receiving mail (mail hubs), will need to be cross certified
(2) An adjacent domain document is needed in each domain to identify the other
(3) A Mail routing connection document is needed so...
Shouldn't normally need do anything else. Have you restarted the server.
Some parameters in the server document are only read at startup, and although you restarted http this could be the issue.
Depending on the release of the Notes client, check the user preferences from the File menu.
There is an option to "Enable MS Office 97 Send to Notes" feature that by default is unchecked.

OK, I'll summarise the steps as best I can
(1) In the Domino Directory select the Policies View
(2) Click the Add Policy button
(3) Give the policy a name, I've used "Test Policy1"
(4) Leave the type as an Explicit policy
(5) Enter a description e.g. My First Archiving Policy
(6) In the...
Incorrect answer - sorry.
Go to the database ACL and select the Advanced Tab.
In the drop down titled "Maximum Internet Name and password" select "NO ACCESS".
Now no matter how users authenticate over HTTP, they will never get the DB.
