Well, it seems to be passing the called extension OK, just not the calling parties number. Where it would normally show the calling party's number, we get the actual shortcode 7770,S##. Tried DTMFF, DTMFA, DTMFB to no avail.
We are currently using the ? shortcode to transfer calls to Duvoice for "phantom" did's that aren't an actual physical phone, but rather an efax DID which duvoice handles. Here is the current code:
SC: ?
Telephone Number: 7770,S##.
Line Group: 0
Feature: DialExtn
The system transfers the call...
I've got a 406 V2 that is not keeping time. Whether it is manually set or set via time server, it does not progress. Does anyone know if there is some sort of setting (DTE or other) that turns it off/on or is it simply hardware?
Vid-Do you mind sharing any special settings that you used to get the best quality from your SCN setup? We are in the process of setting up an SCN using Kentrox VPN. Thanks.
Guppie - Doing a similar setup. What settings did you finally go with to get the best call quality. Also, did you ever get the fax working over the VPN? I also get about 1 out of 3 that go through. Thanks
OK, here is the short code that I setup:
SC:?
Telephone Number: 77708#D
Line Group: 5
Feature: DialExtn
7770 is the huntgroup that contains the 3rd party VM. It hits 7770 and gets the main attendant, then dial 8# correctly which requests the VM to transfer to an extension, but the extension...
If I understood correctly, the problem is there are 1200 DID's and we are trying to find a way that the system will just fire off the incoming DID info w/o hardcoding a SC (or users/icr for that matter) for each DID.
We want to use the default ICR that has no value for incoming number or destination to transfer all calls that do not match an ICR to the ? shortcode, which works great. The problem is figuring out a short code that will identify the incoming DID # and transfer that call to a hunt group (for 3rd...
So help me out here. If our voicemail coverage is at 7770, and we use 4 digit extensions, DID number is 602889xxxx,the short code would be? And I assume with different DID prefixes ie. 602602349xxxx we would have to make a short code for each prefix, no?
The reason for the users is that we have DID's that are used for voicemail only with fax capability. No physical extensions. So basically when a call comes in it goes directly to a voicemail box. We are using 3rd party voicemail (Duvoice) and no other features of IPO.
What's the point in...
Loading a very large config onto a 412 version 3.069 as follows:
1200 users
1100 ICR's
Most of the users are "phantom" users with no physical phones. After adding users and ICR's with manager, we run it through Wizard to check for errors and get a weird error (sorry in advance for the size of...
Actually we already have an 8 port multitech fax modem that we could potentially roll into a compatible fax server. Just want to make sure the fax integration and cng detection within a users voicemail box works well.
Even for the fax to email capability? That's my biggest concern. We have about 1000 users w/o actual physical phones that just use voicemail and faxmail, all of which goes to their email.
I currently have an IP406 V2 running Duvoice for voicemail and fax integration. I am pretty happy with Duvoice, but would love to have queing that I do not get from Duvoice. We are heavy users of combination voice and fax mailboxes with users that do not have physical phones.
My options seem...
IP406 V2 w/ PRI. Having outbound/inbound fax problems on a super G3 fax machine ie. 33.6 speed. Other fax machines work on same line, this one (which happens to be the only decent one) doesn't "handshake" with the fax on the other end. I assume it might have to do with the fax speed, but...
