We want to use the default ICR that has no value for incoming number or destination to transfer all calls that do not match an ICR to the ? shortcode, which works great. The problem is figuring out a short code that will identify the incoming DID # and transfer that call to a hunt group (for 3rd party voicemail or fax server) and dial #8 and then the last four of the incoming DID # to get to the corresponding mailbox for that DID. Any ideas?

Short Code to Create DTMF of Inbound DID

For each did try the following, place the DID followed by a "D" and then the requied DTMF tones. For example if your DID were 1234, create a group that contains the analog divices such as your fax devices and give it an extension of 1234. Then say the fax for the user was 5678. Create a shortcode of 1234D5678 and point your ICR to it.
What will happen is the ICR will fire off SC 1234 thereby calling the group containing the fax devices and then outpules 5678 as DTMF tones.

Ok for some reason this scares me but here you go... If it blows up (and I can't imagine why it would) don't come looking for me.
Create a blank ICR with nothing but your incoming line ID
Create a hunt group containing all of your fax devices (lets just use 1234 for this example).
Create the following system shortcode:
SC: ?
Telephone Number: 1234D.
Line Group: 0 (doesn't really matter)
Feature: DialExtn
What this did for me in lab was replayed via DTMF the incoming DDI (DNIS) to the analog device that answered in HG 1234.
Please let me know how/if this works for you.

7770 is the huntgroup that contains the 3rd party VM. It hits 7770 and gets the main attendant, then dial 8# correctly which requests the VM to transfer to an extension, but the extension never passes. It waits for DTMF of the DID last four but never gets it. Is there a way to force DTMF transfer of the incoming DID #? There has to be a simple code that I'm missing.

The period after 77708#D. (<< that period is part of the SC)
The period tells the switch to pass on as DTMF that which initiated the SC in the first place. In this case the DDI information.
