I was checking the power supply levels. My +3.3V line is running a little bit low. ~.3-.4V low. Would this cause many problems? I have tried unpluging the other HDD, but it seems it didn't relieve it at all. I have a 300W PS in there, I wonder if it is just getting tierd.
I tried moving my...
If you look at hdd's its the same way. I have a 120GB SATA Drive and its showing up at like 114GB. Its the FAT32 system. I wonder if you could format it to the NTFS... ???
nvm, my SATA is NTFS... But I don't think there is anyway to stop the loss of space.
Check also the front panel connectors (specifically the DC SW or the POWER Switch) Thats going on a limb though. More than likely someone forgot the MB risers. These little things that bring the MB off of the case.
I am leaning towards it either being one of the following. Most likly being at the top.
1. Memory Instibility
2. BIOS/CMOS errors ( after POST )
3. IDE/SATA HDD controller
4. Partially Dead MB
The new AMD 64s also benifit with the on dye mem controller (I think). Get a AMD64 now (939 pin) and you will be set.
1.) I agree, I have better times with memory that is matched.
2.) I hate intel, even though I might be going to work for them...
I finally just upgraded the mobo. I believe that I accedently caused a ESD on the circuitry. I replaced the BIOS chip, but that didn't work. Oh well, another MB for my wall...
Well, here is an interesting one...
I just got a new motherboard (NFII), memory (PMI 3200), SATA HDD (Segate 120GB) and put it in my computer. When I booted up my computer, it hung at the point where the Windows logo comes up. The bar kept moving, but after 20 minutes I finally just turned it...
That is the only way that I am on right now. But my computer is running at a Athlon 1100 Mhz. I cannot access the CMOS, if i try... Just a blank cursor. THe computer will only start one time per bios reset. And i have also tried flashing the rom, but it dosn't work.
Hi, i am getting the same error on my Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard, it came out of the blue... I cant access Cmos at all, my cpu is regestering at a ATHLON 1100+ instead of a athlon 3200+. Will replacing the battery let me get into cmos?
