Fairly simple to explain...for example:
I can get to XXXX XXXX XXXX.doc on a intranet.
I CAN'T get to this same file from the internet.
I can get to XXXX.doc from both. The problem seems to be with the formating of hexadecimal space (%20) between the space in the URL. Works fine, until you...
Not sure if adding a route to the Laptop will help, as the Server running the VPN software is cutting every connection to it off.
Another idea I had was running VMWARE on the laptop, and build a virtual 2K or XP workstation, and see if that will let me connect to both networks threw the same...
That is likely the problem. The whole reason for this project is to be able to access 2 VPN networks from the same laptop. I have 1 VPN to my local work intranet, and a 2nd VPN client for access to the customer network.
I was wanting to be able to RDP to the 2nd server box, so I can use just...
I will clarify a bit:
I can launch the VPN at the console (at the computer), and as soon as I do this, it disconnects any RDP session (mapped drives, etc...) to the box. And provents any reconnection until the VPN is disconnected.
If I launch the VPN while connected via RDP session, it will...
I have a 2K3 server that I can access fine via RDP, until I start up a Nortel Networks VPN client on the box. IF I launch the VPN client via a console session, it will freeze up, and after this point I can no longer connect.
(XP Pro did the same thing, so I built a server box for testing)
The...
Well, this is a clean install, on a brand new drive. I tried 2 different XP Pro Cd's, and had the same error with both, so I do not think it is a corrupted file causing the error.....
I guess I can try 2k Pro, or 2K3 server and see if I get a similar error with different OS's
would a flaky video card cause this for a clean XP install? I had to reseat the card a few times for it to get past the video 1 long, 2 short beep code. Video came back ok, but I get the following error:
STOP: 0xC0000221 unknown hard error
C:\Winnt\System32\Ntdll.dll
Card is just a few...

I'm thinking Mozilla will be the new default browser very soon...as it works just fine
DNS is ok....IE just does not recognise that something is "new" in the address bar.....if an item is already in the address bar, as in the dropdown, it will go to the address fine......
Thinking of doing a repair install of XP shortly.....
Well, found a few minor things, but no real bugs.....I was able to get it to go to MSN.com from the address bar somehow......and I can go back and forth from the homepage, to MSN.com fine from the address bar, just can't go anywhere else by typing in the address....really strange.....it's like...
I cant type www.msn.com or any address from the address bar and hit enter, or click "Go". it just does nothing. This is IE6, SP1 on XP Pro....
I have to type the address in google, and go from there to get anywhere.....ideas?
Is there a way to delete "account unknown" profiles in 2K other than the system icon\My Computer ? Looking for an easier way to clear out this wasted space w/o logging on to each individual workstation...
I ment that IE address bard does NOT work....I should have been more clear.....
I am thinking the problem might be related to a DVD burner driver, or similar. 1 of the options to "send to" is to the DVD burner.....when I open My Computer, it takes about 20 seconds to show the available drives...
(XP Pro SP2)
When you Right Click on a desktop item, and select "Send To" menu it takes 20-30 seconds to pull up the 2nd menu to choose where you want to send it. Ideas? The "open with" menu works just fine....
I also have a strange problem with IE, that the Go button, or hitting enter...
