I have a file server running 2000 Server which is also a DC. I will be demoting the machine then changing its domain membership from domain A to domain B. Will it keep all the file/folder permissions that it had whilst being a member of domain A?

All the documentation says not to do the Check Name and just cancel it. i have just got it running here sucessfully. What i did do though is i put an entry in the HOSTS file to point the local machine name (NETBios name) to the FQDN. Then it was all happy.
Are you only using a single exchange server? Is it Std or Enterprise edition? Cos in Std edition the priv DB can only be a max of 16GB! So it wouldnt matter if you had 450GB of disk space free!
Dont forget that the PST's wont be avialable in webmail either.

I have rolled out CentreVu Agent to WinXP Pro (from Win98)and found with pre-SP1 I had to set the Compatibility Mode to 2000 to get the phone data download to work. But now when I have installed it on new machines post-SP1, the data download works fine.
